Sedella
Set on the slopes of the Sierra Tejeda, crowned by the Maroma
peak at an altitude of 6,744 feet is Canillas de Aceituno. It occupies
a privileged position in the hinterland of the Axarquia Region.
Lake
Vinuela,
unspoiled
by mass
tourism
with
wonderful
hills rich
in wildlife.
this is a
corner of
paradise.

Maroma Peak below,
behind lies the Sierra Nevada (Skying)
Vineyards &
Olive Trees.

I received
already
several
bottles of
wine from
local people,
who own the
vineyards
surrounding
the finca here
in the campo.
Sedella has a population of approximately 500 people who are
mainly Spanish and there are a small number of English,
Scandinavians and Dutch residents
.
Axarquia is a
region of Malaga
province in
Andalucia on the
Costa Del Sol.

Sedella is a village
in this region
and is located 1 hr
drive north of
Malaga airport and
is at a height of
2100 feet, 637 m
above sea level.
The climate is mild
in the winter and
warm to hot in the
summer.

Canillas de Aceituno
View at Competa, when I got lost in the mountains
The Axarquia is one of the last untouched
corners of this world and I am very
fortunate to live here for the moment.
The view as seen from the front of the house
Walking the dogs
View at the front, behind the mountains is
the Mediterranean

The extremely
white villages,
set between
the valley of the
Almarchares
river and the
foothills of the
Sierra, the
layouts are still
typically
Moorish, its
narrow,
winding and
impeccably
whitewashed
streets run up
and down.
